    Good morning, everyone.

I think the Auto Show gave me more of a workout than I realized (I have sore muscles that I didn't know existed). I'm getting no sympathy from the critters ("We want the treat dispensers?!?!?!").

Have to do some housework today. Blech! Maybe I'll go nap with the critters first.

Hope everyone has a wonderful day.

My most missed cigarette was in the morning with my coffee, sitting on my front porch, watching the dogs run.. I had to set my alarm 20 minutes later so I didn't have time to miss it..I had time to brew the coffee, pour it and out the door I ran..
just remember.. you are bigger and stronger than that stupid little stick

If you do the math, it comes to a frightening sum of money that one can spend.

If cigs are around $10.00 a pack you're getting close to $4,000.00 per year & without inflation factored in, over 25 years you will have parted with close to $90,000.00.

keep the faith people YOU ARE WORTH IT!!

I quit smoking once before..... I was really nasty.. I only smoke 5 a day now (unless I am having a beverage) so I hope with that, when the time is right I can do it.
Everyone else who had luck a big Congats, that is huge.... I've smoked since I was in grade 6, it was cool back then, since the kids were born I banished myself to the garage or outside...Hurting them is worse that what I am doing to myself ......
    It's a beginning 5 a day is even tough..

at least you're honest about it, but you'll find after a few days, maybe a week, that smokers cough is going by the way of the doodoo bird. i'm an ex-smoker as well & i don't miss it at all.

Funny how times change. I remember that all the cool kids smoked, but I never held the cool kids in high regard since they were the same ones who skipped classes, got into knife fights, kept going to court for break & enter or shoplifting, etc, etc. Then one night, ten of them died joyriding a stolen car over a cliff into the 16-mile Creek. I tried real hard but I couldn't feel sorry for any of them.

I didn't like the jocks either, but that's a different rant.

I quit August 2, 2000 so it's coming up to 11 years... I put on a few pounds (25 or so) over the 11 years, but I'm working hard on losing those.... (I'm down 16 of those now)

After 1 month of being smoke free, my mother in law noticed that I didn't have smokers hack anymore - especially in the morning... my clothes don't stink anymore, my son has not had an asthma attack since I quit, my husband doesn't tell me that my mouth tastes like an ashtray anymore and I have more $$ to spend on me!!

Good luck to everyone that is quitting... It's hard, but it's well worth the effort!!!
