75 AM's and $20 OOP - Metro

I printed off 3x Air Miles coupon for spend $35 and receive 25 airmiles, and took all of my FPC's to Metro yesterday to cash in! I did 3 separate transactions and go the following:

- 7x Melitta World Trade coffees
- 2x Oasis OJ
- 1x Joint health dog treats
- 1x Pillsbury pie crusts
- 3x Green Giant selections ($1.99 w/ $1 off coupons)
- lovely red/white poinsetta ($7.99, but it's so pretty!)

I picked up a few other items as well, but was so happy with my OOP expense and all my free stuff! Also, tax wasn't charged on the FPC's- yeah!!

TY I have a bunch of FPC's to use up before the end of the year. I doubt there will be another promotion through Rexall so this might be the place to get my AM. So excited!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Awesome!!! I have asked a few folks before without response, but just wondering where the Melitta FPC's are from?? I can't figure it out! I joined their loyalty program but nothing there etc. etc.

It was from a promotion they had 6-8 months ago- refer a friend to their loyalty program and you get a FPC and the friend gets a $2 off coupon! It was awesome.

Did my first shop today. Didn't get the AM so went to speak to a manager and she put them on Have enough FPC's to do another 3 or 4 more shops

So she scanned the coupon even though your out of pocket was less than $35?

Yes. She looked at the coupon with doubt and said that it wouldn't work, but I asked her politely if she still wouldn't mind trying it. Of course she scanned it and i got the AM's, and I think she was impressed! I have a "trick" when I'm using my coupons- before I ring everything through, I always apologize to the cashier saying something like "I have a bunch of coupons, i know they are annoying, and I'm so sorry!" Most cashiers take to this really well, and end up being very helpful and nice throughout my transactions!
