ready for another SDM bonus redemption?!

Last Mega Bonus REdeption I redeem 3 times of 95000 points in one day, I called the SDM 1800 and the dude told me technically 2 times a day, but if you want to redeem more then ask the store manager if they allow you to do that, lol!!!

I now have more than enough points for redeem 400$ this time, but I dunno what I need....hmmm

I only have 6000 points and have been collecting since forever. Starting in the new year I shall learn to pay close attention to bonus points items and using coupons. I want to participate in mega redemption. Still have so much to learn from SCs.

I'm pretty sure that was the first ever Mega Bonus Redemption and that it said on the flyer it was a one time thing. I'm hoping there will be more but not counting on it.

I just cashed in 50,000 points for last minute groceries at SDM the other day! & have 31,000 left...unless a 20X day is soon don't think I can do it!

I find it amusing really that they offered one such a short time ago and are now offering one right after Christmas... coupons are expiring at the end of the year.... and they know that many people (like everyone posting here it seems!) used up all their points last time! They are not fools it seems!!!

Between dad and I, we have enough to do a BR, but I didn't see anything in the flyer I saw that really would make it worth using the points on...

As for those looking to rack up points, just an idea (and if your pocket book would allow it after Christmas), stock up on SDM GC for the whole year... get your points and then put the cards away and use em as you need them in 2011!

Just thought I would throw that out there!

I was like you too Decaf a few months ago... I never knew how to get bonus points or nothing! SC and CarlyInCanada showed me the way and now I was over 23,000 but had a fellow SC'er buy a Christmas gift for me at SDM and mail it to me and I paid in Optimum points.. so I think I am around 18,000 now....

Best trick I learned was the GC thing.. that is like FREE POINTS!!! You are going to spend the money at SDM anyways so why not get the GC and the points along with it!!!

Do some reading, get to know Carly and trust me, it won't take you long!

Heck I took dad's balance from 13,000 to over 50,000 in less then 3 months!!! It can be done!

Like other SCers, I didn't take advantage of the Mega redemption event as only had just over 30000pts and really didn't have anything I really wanted so badly to spend those points on even if they were worth much more than what I'd get for them for a regular redemption or bonus redemption event. Although I've read up on tips to collecting Optimum Points I'm no where near 95000pts at this time and will pass on this bonus redemption as, again don't need anything and I have no more room to stockpile!! I'll continue to learn how to efficiently collect points and by the time I have a list of items I really want to treat myself to I'll have enough points for a large redemption and by then maybe SDM puts on another mega-redemption event?? (If not, a bonus redemption event will be good enough).

How many bonus points do you get for gift cards? I can't remember how many you get per dollar. thankyou.
