I started this project because my husband and I decided to cut out our daily Tim Hortons 2 x-large. With the money we are saving I decided to spend $11 a week for the whole year and see what I could get with coupons and sales combined. Hopefully I will be able to get specials every week.

I love this idea Patty, and I know many of my buds think I'm nuts as well, until I hand them that certain coupon that is for something they buy on a regular bases. I am doing something new this year as well, will post in this thread when it starts turning out. Great luck with this Patty.

I think that's totally awesome!
I just never understood why people pay for coffees out regularly (once in a while I understand) when good coffee can be made at home so inexpensively.
So I do sometimes have it in my head when I am looking for coffee on sale, and think "Gee, what I pay for 900g/1kg, which can make many pots of coffee, some people are getting only one cup!"
Patty, with sales and coupons, that $11 per week is going to go REALLY far! I wish I had that extra myself to spend on regular groceries!
