No, you don't need to let the cashier know. Just to make sure you spend $20 before taxes and coupon. (last time I asked the cashier for the subtotal just to make sure, I mentioned about the refer a friend event, she didnt' even have a clue!!)

umm can you use a print out of a new member card.. at the store..as part of your referrals.. as long as the persons email is entered on your list.?
