Anyone know how much you would have to pay customs if you get the 13 Macbook? I'm planning on getting that, but I don't want the charges to be ridiculous.

The 13" Macbook goes for $1099 on Apple's website, so around $130 if you live in BC (5% GST + 7% PST). You'll have to calculate your own province as I don't know the others offhand.

If they use UPS Ground to ship, then another $67.95 and perhaps whatever mystery fees UPS likes to charge on top of that. Fedex and DHL will be around the same, while USPS will be $5. If Lockerz is nice and use an Expedited service, then you can cancel this fee out.

So the total is around $200, maybe less or none if Lockerz marks it as a $50 gift and Customs lets it clear. This could also be higher based on what UPS Ground decides to charge as well. It should be $67.95, but they have screwed me before, charging much more than what they say on their site.
