an iframe is like a web page that's around another web page.

If you go to some sites like About.com - when you go to a page NOT on their site, they leave this little small line at the top with a skinny menu bar of their site. This is a frame within a frame.

Why would this happen?

Do type www.swagbucks.com in the "location bar" to start using it or do you start by clicking on it somewhere?

If you are going directly to it by typing the address is, you may have a virus/malware that added itself to your web browser to track where you go and what you do.

Let me know which way you to go - typing the address in ... and let us know what browser you use (IE, firefox, opera, safari ...) and what type of computer. We may be able to help you fix this.

I'm having this same problem and have tried clearing cache and cookies...not worked so far, just painful now that I've lost all my passwords

Any more tips to try?

Okay a little background. In the past, people used some system with an iframe to basically hijack swagbucks and automate searches etc. - some sort of bot. Swagbucks reworked their code to stop this exploit.

So something you may have installed recently - a new bookmarklet, a new toolbar, or watching videos in a browser video player in another tab likely uses an iframe and somehow it's tripping up Swagbucks.

Do you run an ad blocker for example?

#1. Here's what I would do next:

-log off your swag account
-close down everything
-reboot
-go to the swagbucks home page, login and search with the search box on the page

Let me know if that works ... I found others who had this problem but not resolution posted.

They said that it would be a different gift card on sale each day.

I had the iframe problem a few days ago. It was happening to me, both at work and at home, so I figured it was not my computer.

It lasted about 24 hours, and then the next day everything was back to normal for me at both home and work.

It seemed it was just a time out, although I do not do too many searches.
