    Just wondering if us Canadians are allowed to use our points for an Amazon.com gift card as opposed to the Amazon.ca giftcard? Also is it better to shop on .com vs. .ca - is there any difference?

    We can order either .com or .ca.

    .com has a bigger selection but not everything ships to Canada

    Items over $20 or $25 are charged duty if they're from .com, and shipping can be free over a certain amount on amazon.com BUT that doesn't apply to all marketplace sellers

    .ca has more and more stuff - garden household etc
    .ca has some good sales, sometimes as good as .com

    So the answer is it'll depend on "what" you want to buy and which store has it.

    Absolutely you can use your points for amazon.com. I generally shop on .ca though, the shipping from the US is often expensive and some items on .com don't ship here at all. Many items on .ca have free shipping if you spend over $25.
