    hi girls,

i am new to sc, and new to coupons as well. is it me or i have been reading a lot of posts lately on how people are having a hard time with cashiers and coupons?... that there are rules, x coupons per transaction, per customer, no printed coupons, etc.

to all the senior sc'ers, was it as hard 5 years ago to give out coupons at the cash? what do you anticipate will happen? seems as if the stores are getting stricter and stricter.

    anyone?

No, I don't think things have changed all that much with regular coupons. Printable coupons are continuing to increase in popularity. Unfortunately many manufacturers still seem to be quite naive about how easily they can be abused, which has led to more and more stores refusing to accept them. It may take a few years, but either all stores will stop accepting them in Canada and manufacturers will have to go back to regular coupons, or more security features will be used, making stores more comfortable with them. Something will have to give, one way or another. Don't worry about coupons going away. Smart retailers and manufactures have always known that they are good for business.
