SDM policy on FPCs?
Went into SDM for a few items yesterday and, not surprisingly for that location, most was not available. So I ended up with just a couple things that I had FPCs for. The cashier refused to give me my receipt because she said the items were free and she had to send the receipt to head office. :shrug: Wouldn't even print a copy! So if one of my items proves faulty, I can't return it and that's supposed to be ok because it was free?
Does that sound right? Don't they, by law, have to give you a receipt for every single purchase? No idea whether she credited my points or not. I have to GUESS the amount to enter in my coupon savings record! :omg: I am contacting the company, I just wanted to know others experience with this and if I'm off base here before I get all bent-out-of-shape over it. Maybe I just need to be less anal about this.
PS: not trying to start a derogatory bashing thread here, so please keep it polite and don't make me regret opening my mouth in the first place! :angel:

There's a SDM forum under "deals", just to make you aware :) I think this thread is fine here though.
I've never heard a policy that denies receipts. What would she have done if you purchased a chocolate bar, denied you the receipt still? That doesn't seem right. I think she was just making up her own rules, as cashiers sometimes do.

I'm pretty sure she was still suppose to give you a receipt just keep a copy for themselves. I went there and used the Lean Cuisines coupon for the free one and I got a receipt even though that was the only thing that I got. Seems very odd that she would not even give you a copy, I would complain.

that does sound weird! tho if u used FPC's for your items, you do not get points for them! which sdm was this?
