Thread: SDM policy on FPCs?

Went into SDM for a few items yesterday and, not surprisingly for that location, most was not available. So I ended up with just a couple things that I had FPCs for. The cashier refused to give me my receipt because she said the items were free and she had to send the receipt to head office.
Wouldn't even print a copy! So if one of my items proves faulty, I can't return it and that's supposed to be ok because it was free?
Does that sound right? Don't they, by law, have to give you a receipt for every single purchase? No idea whether she credited my points or not. I have to GUESS the amount to enter in my coupon savings record!
I am contacting the company, I just wanted to know others experience with this and if I'm off base here before I get all bent-out-of-shape over it. Maybe I just need to be less anal about this.
PS: not trying to start a derogatory bashing thread here, so please keep it polite and don't make me regret opening my mouth in the first place!

I think this thread is fine here though.
I've never heard a policy that denies receipts. What would she have done if you purchased a chocolate bar, denied you the receipt still? That doesn't seem right. I think she was just making up her own rules, as cashiers sometimes do.

I'm pretty sure she was still suppose to give you a receipt just keep a copy for themselves. I went there and used the Lean Cuisines coupon for the free one and I got a receipt even though that was the only thing that I got. Seems very odd that she would not even give you a copy, I would complain.

Always looking for items on my wishlist, Stouffers and ICoke pins! As well as RAOK Campbells soup labels for my kids school!

that does sound weird! tho if u used FPC's for your items, you do not get points for them! which sdm was this?
