Today is, National Pistachio Day! Are you nuts a pistachio nut? Then you don't need to be told this small tree nut comes from places like Greece, Turkey and Afghanistan. And we sure don't need to tell you that they are a fantastic source of antioxidants. Now, can you tell us how to eat the ones with the shells that aren't cracked enough to open without getting ow-ies on our thumbs or cracking your teeth?

attitash, darn it all Pistachio reminds me of baklava, but not the Greek kind the Lebanese kind...all flaky and dripping with honey and oh yeah! I can't have this on my food plan.
