Spring is teasing us - the signs are all around but winter doesn't want to let go yet. I'm just hoping we don't get a major snow dump like we did...when was it - last year or the year before? In late April. dh was up to his waist in some spots.

I wasn't out, just the gang came in from the show, said it was raining.
I am up later than I should be. I do feel quite tired but hate to give in so soon. lol

I know what you mean. And I have snow, but I probably live a lot further north than you.

You know wendark, I do the same route, I walk the same paths, turn the exact same angle, etc....but when there is a hidden patch of ice, well the cleats help but sometimes when you wear them for the fewest pieces of ice then the spikes get worn down from walking on the dry concrete. A catch 22 I would say.

you can't always see the ice - that's the dangerous part. Thursday night I walked like I was 95 LOL. Moved the truck close to the edge so I could walk on the snow part to get to it the next day.

I think the most fun was just seeing everyone again and having some laughs ( and cries that we work too hard) lol, the usual stuff. Plus I am getting a massage once a week and physio 2 times to help keep me limbered up a little. Shoulder and neck has improved so that is good.

Do those beanie bags work for you? You heat them in the microwave. Even better is this thing I bought dh at the Exhibition in the summer. You snap this little metal disc inside the gel pack and the thing heats up - and it gets very warm and keeps it for about 2 hours. You boil it to return it to it's normal gel state.

Get the same kinda things 3 times a week.. best I find so far.. is the warmth from a tanning bed.. Helps the pain quite a bit.. relief doesn't last for long.. but it does for a bit.. and feels great

Also pick a thing up called a tens machine.. Little pads you stick around where you are sore.. and sends out electronic shocks to get the blood flowing in the injured area.. Use mine like 8 - 12 hours daily

wendark those disc things sound great! I find the heat from the bag thing cools quickly and you can only microwave it for like a minute or so each time. I have one that hugs my entire neck/shoulder area.

redneck I know what you mean about the good feeling not lasting long but it is heaven while you are there, that is what gets me through each day I find.

Somedays are better then others.. Lately not very good.. But have to stay strong.. cuz Lorie is going through hell these days..
