For me, i would say no. In order to get the product, you still have to purchase it first in order to get it free. A freebie is suppose to be with no strings attached..obviously with this one, the string is you first have to buy it to eventually get it free.
Sorry, rebates and MIRs are not free. If you have to pay money in any instance, before or after receiving, it is not a freebie.
