maybee people shoud be able to add but i wonder if there would be a way to make it so only the op or a mod could erase/change what someone else typed?

I don't see my post, though i edited the first post by adding some message
so if someone edits at the same time, we cannot see the first person's revisions?
Ok it happened again, i edited my post when babyzndme was editing, now you cannot see what she posted.
lol.... i was going to post the same thing. nd the 'view history' doesnt show what was edited. potential to cause trouble, in my opinon.
BTW Boo, its a great idea. maybe the edit option could be shared by a few posters, instead of being made available to all.
many hands make work lighter but too many cooks spoil the broth :|
so...as an op of a post- I would be the only person to see the gray 'turn into a wiki...' button?
Thanks!
Well it might seem a bit overwhelming now but as it is used for so specialty threads e.g. swagbucks, save.ca coupons, radio threads, etc. only few people interested in that specific topic would edit it. As the excitement of this feature fades away it will be used in a more useful way :top:
woah there are two of you

Hey! Boo has
Total Candies: 41,718,001,501
(must be nominations time of year again!) :)
Did I ever tell yous guys how much I loves ya?
I think it's a recipe for disaster :rolleyes:but hopefully people would not get advantage of this feature for just blabbing about everything and anything :) I usually go the the last few post in a thread for updates, or if the title of a thread changes I'll check the first post as well. So I guess I have to get used to check the first thread first:tongue:

and while I have your attention, can we please (pretty please) have a Halton forum so we dont have to share with Hamilton?
Okay this REALLY does not help me when I am coming off my meds and waiting for the other ones to kick in!!!!! :lolsign:
I get the concept of it now, it would be good for stuff like Carly's SDM Optimum BP threads, people could add the new ones they find for her, thus saving her the work of having to update it.
I don't see me having to make many of my threads "wiki" ones... When I first read the title of the thread, all I could think of was "Wiki Leaks"!!!!
Bump - because I had TONS of questions about seeing the green bar on postings this morning!
Can the mods get more $ and/or love because of all the extra work they will be doing?
One problem I had in the hot deals thread is once it has been edited a bunch of time the colour go all crazy(kinda start to bleed into the words around them) and the lines get blended together. So I have to edit to make them "pretty" again. I do hope that this doesn't happen to the wiki thread because it is going to be edited 100x more that I was editing.
Could this thread - or info about the Wiki stuff - PLEASE go in the section on Site related posts? - because that's where I went looking for info - but this is in Deals and Flyers....
Uh, oh.... that doesn't sound good....
Yes, he replied saying ooops and was answering questions about the wiki that prolly only he would know (and the real Boo replied to my seeing double so woulda noticed an imposter). He probably needed a non admin account to check the settings
:lolsign:
Boo just loves starting drama :lolsign:
~waits for all the Boo Radley Jr accounts to start popping up~
so its making at interesting cause to point that the starting thread may just get a little bit crowded with everyone editing it...but also with use of wiki it now instead of being able to find smartcanucks by the way of google of type a topic now its totally almost globalized to the point of find possibly the subtopic as well... interesting way of promoting of course.
But what about merging threads together do we still need a mod to do that?
personally I dont see much of a point in doing it... could see alot of problems with people erasing the wrong thing...
My brag just changed to a WIKI!!! It screwed up my title and I cant advanced edit to fix it!
Interesting idea. But wikis aren't reliable exactly for the reason that anyone can edit them.
And I would not want anyone else editing a post of mine, especially if it has my name on it
