Thread: New with Questions :)

Hello everyone,
I'm new here and after looking through many posts, I'm impressed by the deals people are able to get.
I guess my question is related mostly to stuff I would buy at grocery stores. I see in the Brag section, people wind up getting products such as dish soap or wipes, for example, for very little cost.
Is this from using coupons on stuff that is already on sale? Do stores in Canada match the coupon price? I saw a tv show where people kept saying "with the store matching the coupon" but am wondering if that's a U.S. thing.
Thanks for a great forum. I hope my post makes sense! lolThis thread is currently associated with: Guess, WIND Mobile

Welcome to SmartCanucks!!
Yes, mostly people apply coupons on items that are either on sale or clearance to get the best deals.
Stores deduct the amount of coupon from the total price thus bringing your overall out of pocket down. Sometime people stack coupons when the coupons with different UPC [universal product code] can be applied to the same item.. Stores also have instore coupons that can also be stacked with manufacturer coupons.
Note that stacking is not allowed in some provinces...
Hope this helps!

Thanks for the replies - I'm completely new to coupons...before today I don't think I ever used one!
Joined this website last night and spent hours reading the posts.
I printed off some Scrubbing Bubbles coupons and did a 2 for 1 at the store today...bought 4, saved $8...I thought, "oh no, I could get addicted to this!".....hahahaha
A few things I didn't understand in posts were what does OOP mean and WBC mean?
