Hi, just wanted to introduce myself. I'm just new to this site and new to couponing. I've spent hours poring over this site and finding so much excellent information. I have four kids so I think this will really help me with costs.

One question I have is....

When you have a coupon for say $5 off when you buy two, and you have the choice of using it for larger onsale items, say Tide at $10.97 for 64 loads or two smaller sized Tides at say 32 loads, say it's on sale for 5.99, then which would you go for? You would spend only $2 to get two Tides on the latter, you'd spend $16.94 for two of the larger. But it seems to me, it makes more sense to buy the bigger? Is that right? This came up because I wanted to post the larger Tide as a hot deal on one of the joint deals threads, but I wasn't sure if you all would prefer to hear about spending $2 for two Tides, even though they're smaller...?

So I didn't post the Tide deal, but it seems hot to me, but then I'm new!

I'd say post the deal, mentioning the price of each size, and let the individual decide which he or she wants to buy

welcome! I'm not sure about the answer to your question, but I think I would probably try to figure it out by price and the amount/volume that each size contained.
