So at midnight I went to Metro (on lunch break) I went to get the tide on sale and hopefully find some coupons. I finally made my way to the isle and it looked like all the liquid tides were gone but a gentleman had 1 in his hand and I was there to buy 3 with my 2 coupons but after his 1 there were only 2 left on the shelves so I gave him my save $1.00 off tide coupon.

I walked up and down every single isle and found so many great coupons...I walked in with 2 coupons and ended up with so many more.
As I was ready to check out can you guess what I found...more liquid tide...oh well I shared tonight with a stranger...lol

I love sharing coupons, it's a neat feeling when somebody is truly grateful for your generosity.

That was great. Getting the men into it also, lol
I had an experience last night also.
I noticed an elderly lady with a large bag of Purina Dog food on the top of her buggie. I watched her and quickly went through my book and found a 7.50 coupon for her Dog Food. She thanked me and said it looked like it was for the food she was purchasing. When we both reached each other again in the next isle we chatted for (I bet) longer then 15 mins. I finally ended the convo to continue my shopping but with a smile that I was able to please another person somehow.
The Tide brag is a great one, I love Tide, lol and impressed you got a chance to explain and get the Gentleman enquiring and maybe can save him some in the future.
Good Job!!

I agree with you. I give the cashier coupons when they give me no problems at checkout time. It is also nice to check out what the person in front of me has and to hand them any coupons that they can use. Some people get really suprised that you would give them a hv coupon.
feels good.

That was still very nice of you to do that! A++++ for generosity! I went to Metro yesterday and you're right! Tonnes of coupies came home with me! I bet the store clerks were looking at me funny.. walking up and down the aisles with my double stroller.. at least the babies were sleeping!

its nice to give people coupons who may not normally use/find them. just before xmas I gave away 3 coupons in WM which were going to expire that day or the next. saw the people who had the item and passed the coupon on. wasn't anything I needed so why waste? this was before I started learning about coupons and trading so hopefully I won't get that close to the expiry anymore, but if I do I'll still had them out. and I'll probally just give some away just because.

I've had good and bad experiences with giving out coupons. One mom was in walmart when I was there and she had some soups in her cart so I gave her a few soup coupons to use. told her zellers had them on sale so if she went to zellers she would get them for 4 cents a can. she was quite impressed and kept thanking me.
another time I approached an elderly lady in zellers when I was there to get soup and gave her a few.she was going to buy the zellers brand of soup and so I gave her a few coupons and told her she can get the campbells for dirt cheap.she was so impressed
but then I had a lady be rude to me about coupons. and told me I should quit being such a cheap ***...yes that was her exact words to me
its great that you could help her out
