WM supercentre in Winnipeg??

Hey did anyone else hear that a couple walmarts in winnipeg will be turned into supercentres like in US? my DH and i are super excited we're really hoping the produce will be cheaper! What do you guys think about this? And anyone know when it'll officially be here?

i don't think it will by any means be like the states, since they are not adding onto the current stores, they are just reorganizing and adding the food sections.
The ones that are getting them have now had the fabric/sewing sections removed, and the isles seem like they will be skinnier.

I know the walmart at st vital is going through renovations...

Uncity, St. James and St. Vital Walmarts are all getting the supercentres. The one at St.Vital should be up and running in May.

garden city one is expanding this spring to become a supercentre, an employee there told me

The one on St. James is being re-organized right now... I went there yesterday and could hardly find anything (everything was moved).

The WM in Portage is reorganizing to be a super WM as well...and im super pumped for Target!

I'm pumped for Target too its gonna be like 5 mins from my work haha The only thing is on the news they were saying that it's not going to have all the stock like they do in the states and the prices aren't gonna be the same...So it makes me wonder whether or not it's actually gonna be good...A lot of people that they interviewed about it said they would continue going to the states for Target simply because of the prices...We'll have to see how it turns out!
