Good morning...have to figure out if I need longjohns today...not a fan of getting to hot on the mountain.
Today is, National Answer Your Cat's Question Day! Cats are very pensive creatures, always staring quizzically into space, flicking their tails back and forth as they ponder the great mysteries of the universe. If you entertain your cat's questions today, don't be surprised if all he asks is,
'What's for lunch?' or
'Why haven't you changed my litter all week?'
Your cat is sparing you the embarrassment of being unable to answer the real questions on his mind.
Cats are like that, yea they are!

Potato Chip Cookies
Ingredients
1 cup butter, softened
3/4 cup sugar
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 1/4 cups coarsely crushed potato chips, divided
1/4 cup confectioner’s sugar
7 oz. dark chocolate, melted
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
In a large mixing bowl, cream the butter and sugar until fluffy. Reduce mixer speed to low, and add 3/4 cup of crushed potato chips and mix well. Add vanilla, and then add the flour and mix just until combined - do not over mix the dough.
Use a spoon to scoop small 1-inch balls of dough onto a lightly greased or parchment lined cookie sheets, 2 inches apart. Dust each cookie with a bit of confectioners’ sugar, and press flat. Bake 10-15 minutes, or until light brown around the edges. Remove to wire rack to cool.
Dip each of the cookies in the melted chocolate. While the chocolate is still soft, place the chocolate covered portion into the rest of the crushed potato chips to lightly coat. Allow to set before serving.
Makes about 3 dozen.
Nothing like the dog days of January...lots of sun with cooler temps. Made for a sweet day on the mountain. Too bad it comes to an end...w*rk tomorrow.
Greetings....AM internet issues & busy at w*rk has kept me away. Happy with our deep freeze...wish I was on the slopes today. Have my sights set on Friday.
Today is, National Handwriting Day! It's that thing you do to make words when you aren't typing or texting. You remember, with the pen/pencil and the paper?
Come on, practice it; you don't want to let your signature look like a doctor's! http://hiawatha.mpls.k12.mn.us/uploads/handwriting.png
The bride was escorted down the aisle and when she reached the altar, the groom was standing there with his golf bag and clubs at his side. She said: "What are your golf clubs doing here?"
He looked her right in the eye and said, "This isn't going to take all day, is it?"
Today is, National Compliment Day! All too often we forget to compliment those around us. And that's a real shame because the best way to get a compliment is to give one. (Because straight up fishing for compliments is so not cool.)
'You're awesome.' 'No, you're awesome.' See how beautifully that works?

All golfers should live so long as to be this kind of old man!
Toward the end of the Sunday service, the Minister asked, "How many of you have forgiven your enemies?
80% held up their hands.
The Minister then repeated his question. All responded this time, except one man, Walter Barnes, who attended church only when the weather was bad.
"Mr. Barnes, it's obviously not a good morning for golf. It's good to see you here today. Are you not willing to forgive your enemies?"
"I don't have any," he replied gruffly.
"Mr. Barnes, that is very unusual. "How old are you?"
"Ninety-eight," he replied. The congregation stood up and clapped their hands.
"Oh, Mr. Barnes, would you please come down in front and tell us all how a person can live ninety-eight years and not have an enemy in the world?"
The old golfer tottered down the aisle, stopped in front of the pulpit, turned around, faced the congregation, and said simply, "I outlived all them assholes" - and he calmly returned to his seat.
Good morning...weekend off & getting ready for some ski action. Current temp of -19C...things have warmed up.
