Thread: Dollarama Grabs!

So I decided to go to Dollarama yesterday to see what I could find from this forum and also to stock up for our Christmas party we are hosting next week. Lets just say I walked out spending $45ish. Here is what I got:
- The nail art kit below. My husband got me the real name brand Konad kit (they sell them at some kiosks in malls) for $40 at the CNE.That one contained only 2 nail disks, this one comes with 5. I haven't tested it out so I don't know the quality of it. I'm saving them for people. The kit says that any nail polish can be used with it, but that normally is not the case. Here is a list of the polishes that can be used with nail stamping kits:
http://sassestampingstampede.wordpress.com/polish/ Also, I've read a lot about nail art stamping kits and the ones that come with sharp edge scraper (like the Dollarama ones do) often damage the disk. Try using an old gift card as a scraper.
Next I got this Dora INSULATED lunch bag
For coworkers, or small little gifts these Turtle chocolate boxes are great!
For the Christmas party I got all kinds of stuff. Decorations, a small red spiral Christmas tree, Christmas crackers, muffin tin w/ see through lid in the shape of a tree (someone posted about this) - pic is upside-down, sturdy tablecloth, napkins w/ Christmas tree on them, Dixie plates with Christmas theme, platter w/ Christmas theme, etc... Here are some pictures:

Here are some household stuff I didn't buy them, but took pictures to share:
- a way to expand your closet space - no screws required, just latch it onto your current rod in your closet and then it provides a device to hook on to latch and then it hangs lower than your current rod the provide a lower rod for you to hang your clothes on. I hope that made sense... it's not sturdy I'm guessing... but for lighter stuff like ties and such it should be good
- stainless steel stove kettle! OMG!! My mom would like one I think - I'm sending her the link to this forum!
- a device that was out many many years ago to easily make pizza pockets and stuff
- an instant marinator
- the gratey - like the slap chop but to grate
- a device to add to the top of a water cooler jug to pump out water
- a kitchen tool that lets you strain, drain and fry items

I bought an awesome pair of chatties leg warmers to wear under my mid calf boots. They were $3. They are black and white flecks. I wish I had of picked up the tan colour too now that i think of it. The tag retails for $15.00. Love them!
This was at the Appleby & Dundas location in Burlington.

I found them at my local store in Saint John, New Brunswick. I saw a lady with like a BUNCH in her cart then I searched the store until I found them, and got the last two. The cashier and I were talking about it and she said the store only got in 2 cases of them and they didn't even make it to she shelf. She did say they were expecting mroe though, so maybe they're still shipping them out to stores, keep looking!

[QUOTE=seylz_gurl;5143232] We have the closet extender and it works fantastic. Only thing is I find it's not great for hubby's shirts (as they're a lot longer than mine) then just barley knick the floor. But it's great for ladies tops, kids clothes, or if your closet rod is a little higher than most.

Has anyone found the chuck and friends DVD, or the nail art stamp kit anywhere near Hamilton. If so, then could you please let me know the location of the store where you found it. Thanks
