Dont forget a reason why alot of people do not use coupons. Time - Managers are not going to want more people taking longer durations in the checkout to sort out coupons. The cashier having to look closely at each one. Not only will this anger other customers - (in turn possibly losing that customer) they would then need to have mnore cashiers on the floor.
They would rather have those customers who do not look for deals - the store makes a greater profit then couponers - who only look for sales - minimal profit per item
If you were going to talk to a manager, they porbably would love to get rid of coupons all together. They allow what is going on right now to please those who do use coupons. But they would rather give up the at 15 cent handling any day of the week if they could retain the customer base and eliminate coupons all together.

I wouldn't honestly worry about shelf-clearing. There would certainly be lots of people buying product, and that might be an issue for a VERY short period of time, then the stores would wise up quickly and more stock would come in more often.
Ferdo, think of it this way:
I will buy one item if I don't have a coupon to make it cheaper or free. If I have coupons to make it cheap or free, I will buy 5. That's what, 400% more than I'd buy otherwise? They'd sell tons more product. New things are on sale every week and there's coupons for everything, there may be more sales of a product on sale week when there's a coupon for it, but it's not like ALL they'd sell was what was on sale.
If stores are smart they'd rather have couponers. They make money off the coupon, and they make money off of people buying tons more product because they don't have to pay OOP for it.
As for the cashiers part of it, 70% of the time I'm in a store, there isn't even half of the cash registers open. If there were that many more couponers that there needed to be more cashiers so non-coupon-stackers can have transactions done in the same amount of time they would be currently. I can't see what would be BAD about needing more cashiers. It creates more jobs! I think that's a great thing.
I don't really know what you're talking about in regards to managers not liking couponers, because most managers I've talked to LOVE when people buy more because they can afford more with coupons, it gets products off their shelves and money in the store's pocket. They'd likely get more business and get more customers for it, not lose them.

I totally agree I think not only do we as consumers profit but also the company I mean lots of ppl already shop RCSS, but I think this will bring in more, and plus I'm sure the cashiers would be trained on coupon use, which in turn would profit consumers again, cuz I know how some cashiers can be with coupons.
