RE: THE FIRST YEARS (brand)
mi-Pump
ATTN: All New Moms!
My daughter is 5 months old and just prior to her birth I bought an electric breast pump from Toys R Us, it was approximately $150 if I remember correctly. It came with a carry bag, two bottles, tubing, motor, walplug, base etc. It was a great deal I thought.
Recently it started working poorly, it was losing suction and it just wasnt working perfectly.
So today, I called the help number on the manual, wondering if I would get any help, as I did not have the receipt for this item.
The customer service rep. was fantastic. She asked me a bunch of questions and told me that she would send me an entirely new one! With all the bells and whistles within the next two weeks. There is no cost to me and I do not have to send in my original receipt!
So once I receive the new one, I have to send the old motor to a warehouse in Mississauga in the included mailing and postage paid box.
The incredibly nice rep, also informed me that the company will send replacement parts to any of their models to the purchaser at no cost! FREE replacement parts, including tubing, cups, lids, etc!
Just thought that I would share that, I dont know if anyone else is interested in this, but heres hoping!

Soo great to know! I just bought this pump, so it's great to know they back their products. I was a bit weary not going for the medela!
Thanks!

I also received the same great customer service from First Years when I had issues with my breast pump. I wasn't pumping correctly & some of the milk drained into the tubbing, so instead of just sending replacement tubes, they replaced the whole thing.

I recently contacted them too in regards to a manual pump I had purchased with my older DS(21 months old now). The valve inside was ripped and therefore I couldn't get the suction it needed to pump. I emailed them explaining the issue with the pump and how I didn't want to buy a new one as it was just this particular part not working. They sent me a replacement valve for free. I was quite impressed but it was a long 2 wks of hell before it arrived. LOL!
