Hi, im a mom on maternity leave - i am going back to work in june but my job is up in mississauga/toronto area (401/Dundas). Its a long commute (1.45hrs) one way no traffic (we moved to angus when we had our baby last june)
Just wondered where does everyone else work? do you all suffer from long commute times? Is anyone hiring? am I doomed never to see my kids - unless they are asleep? will they forget who i am?
i know, i know . . . .im overreacting but . . . .This thread is currently associated with: N/A

I decided not to go back to work full time after my kids were born... DH has a 45 minutes commute in very slow traffic with tons of street lights and hates it!!! Before we moved, he walked to work!! The work I'm looking for now is at the new airport and is a good 45 minutes drive but the kids are a bit older (9&11) and that would only be 2 days a week!

I work in Innisfil and live in Horseshoe Valley it takes one hour door to door, and I hate it. I was transfered last year in June (2009) I am trying to transfer out but it seems like this isn't going to happen. I hope you can find something closer to home.

Work from home if you can be creative - sacrifice what you can.
It is always a pleasure to meet you, until we meet again.
