You know what, that's not how it works, and I would appreciate if you would stop posting that that IS how it works, because you are misinforming people and it is enough. You can coerce the cashiers to do whatever you want...but people come here looking for answers to legitimate questions they have about the Optimum system, and posts like yours do nothing but confuse people. The bonus points is what I wanted to get more from buying the CG stuff. I like the idea of adding more points to my acct. for redeeming later on in the day or maybe Sunday.
I am kind of thrilled now as I just told my DD about this promo and she has asked if she can come with me and maybe " try " some makeup things, she wears none right now...so why not let her experiment when it is such a good deal for us?

Just to clarify again about the 50x the points on the Cover Girl...

You will only get 50x the points when you spend money on Cover Girl out of pocket.

If you redeem your points on Cover Girl you will NOT get 50x the points.

You do not get any x points EVER when you redeem. However, if a product has for example, 3000 bonus points advertised, then you will get those type of bonus points when you redeem. But NEVER x points.

My plan is to buy a $75gc, then buy CG and use as many of my coupons as I can, but stay just above $75 after coupons...to be safe! Then I'll get my points and the gas card.

Then I will go redeem for some Wii stuff for $200 and call it a day!

I think the deal is very sweet and it's best to just play it straight.
