As mentioned in other threads, absolutely NO taxes were charged on my many recent purchases w/coupons (Multibionta, Advil Nighttime, Adidas Deordorant, Orab-B toothbrush).

They all had a "1B" beside the 2001 coupon line and I received regular and bonus pts. I've never seen the "NY" designation.

Never before did I get a "zero" total on receipts on supposedly taxable items (with or without coupons). I just walked out the door. Only thing I gave to the cashier was my Optimum card to scan. Amazing.

I bought 6 Multibionta last few days at 2 stores with expiry 2013 (original date on box - no sticker)! Again, balance on 2 receipts - $0

Don't contact SDM. Lets ride this anomaly as long as we can. Obviously, something is wrong with their system.
