Sport Chek gives you cost +10%.
It appears that HBC doesn't have a standard policy when it comes to employee's discounts and other discounts.
When I had first started working there, you were allowed, then about three months into working there the store had changed the policy.
I can see why they wouldn't let you use the SPC discount, but anything else shouldn't make a difference.
We haven't heard anything about not being able to use it with any other discount, and to be honest, I don't see why they should care since it is helping their "credit blend" (what they call when people use their store CC)....
not really that much more compared to typical customer/consumer based type work i know many of the floor staff (cashiers.. not specialized sections) get paid minimum wage to start off, heck around here Tim hortons was offering higher then minimum wage (atleast a buck higher!) to start off
Costco pays there employees well Hubby worked there for a while, at the time (3 years ago) he started out at 14.00 and went up to 19.00 which for us was great, he was a cook and they get didly squat!!!!
I use to belong to one union
This is the deals they got for union members:
10-25% discount on car rentals
discount at hotel chains
VIA rail discount
Does anybody know if any employers give a discount on Costco memberships?
