    Did I do this right?

    I saw shampoo was on sale, it is the brand my wife uses, Tresemme.

    Regular price 5.49, was on sale for 3.99 and I used a $1.00 coupon and got it for $2.99.

    Sounds good to me. At the end of the day with store discount and your coupon you saved $2.50 which is darn close to half price. I say job well done.
