Has anyone been to one of these? We went on friday night and I was SO disappointed. People were bidding to prices higher then retail prices. It was unbelievable. $3 for a box of juice, $4 for a box of 5 granola bars, $1.50 for a can of beans!!!.
Was told about it from a friend at work. I told him, thanks but I will stick to couponing, lolThis thread is currently associated with: N/A

A long time ago I used to go t one at Yellowhead. They were very good then , but you had to know your prices and - there were a lot of people who would come from out of town where they were already paying outrageous prices. They were bidding way to high...I have not been to one for a very long time now.

We picked up some beans as well, from Sobeys though, .69, b5s@4.. .29 cents a can, lol. Beats their $1.50 a can by a long shot.
Was the one at yellowhead that we went to, and I would bet those same out-of-towners were at this one, alot of "rural" looking people, lol.

I've never heard of such a thing? Is it a fundraiser or does someone just buy things wholesale and auction it off?
Now a coupon Auction would be fun.
Auctioner: To be auctioned off is 10 Brandsaver Flyers, Lady in back bids a $2 Janes Chicken coupon, plaid man in front bids $2 Nivea and $1 Hellman's, Coupon Lady in front bids Johnson & Johnson FPC going, going, gone.
