Really that is just terrible Ron. I too would contact the actual drink company to let them know a store is carrying expired product. Perhaps they could look into all the stores that carry that kind that expired in Jan. There are sure to be other stores. I am sure the drink company would sent out a mass e-mail to the companies selling to let them know to double check THEIR expires. You could save alot of others from being sick. Also I am sure the drink company doesn't want a lawsuit on there hands potentially.
Good on you for sticking up for yourself. It looks like it took a bit to get results but you did.

What about a foodsafe or something along that lines.....

If they are selling food products there must be a regulatory body you can call to let them know the store is knowingly selling expired products.

I would stick it to them hard!
    Keep it carbed......

I agree! A lone consumer shouldn't have to handle this by themselves. There must be some sort of consumer ombudsmen or somebody who will be an advocate. It's not a fair fight when it's between one single customer and a huge and powerful corporation with the best lawyers around.

That doesn't surprise me, my friend bought Boost Diabetic a few weeks ago and it ended up having been expired the day she bought it. She couldn't find her receipt so didn't feel comfortable returning it. I so would have Because of that experience when I bought DH the 5 Hour Energy that was on clearance I made sure to check the expiry dates, all was good.

About 2 years ago my best friend and I went to SDM one Saturday that they were offering free makeup applications. She was going out on a date night with hubby that night and really wanted this. They used this awesome liner in a little container on her and she loved it and bought one as did I as it looked really nice. Well, when we got back to her house I opened mine and realized that it was one of the testers. I stayed the night to watch the kids and the next morning she drove me home and we had to go to Shoppers on our way back with all 3 kids to exchange my liner. It was a trip we were not expecting and was very inconvenient. The cashier was very rude but did exchange it. I wrote an email to the store to complain and got a call back from the manager and he was actually great. He apologized and said he would leave 2 gift cards at the cash for each of us. I was very impressed with the customer service, that's the way it should have gone for you too, 1000 SDM points is an insult!!!!!!

Ditto! This is serious. It's food and it's made someone sick and hopefully it doesn't go further (like being fatal). Contact your local Public Health department and explain it to them. Seriously though, it should be off the shelves if it's made customers sick. Maybe SDMs corporate lawyers are slacking lately and the company wants to make them earn their salary a little

    Hope your friend feels better!

I received a expired dip at Shoppers one time and I emailed the company and they sent me a coupon for a free product because I did not have my receipt any more.
