I work at SDM and the cashiers are told to adjust the coupon discount to the price of the product. Some are just not informed so you need to let them know. Otherwise the FSM's are usually quite helpful

I've had cashiers at SDM mark the coupon down for me (often after checking with their manager) but I've also been told (by cashier and manager) that I couldn't use a $1 off coupon on a 99 cent item. I just try to remember which ones will allow it and stand in their lineup!
