Thread: RCSS new policy?
-
Fri, May 13th, 2011, 01:03 PM #1
I went to RCSS last night and used $26 of coupons. Some were $ off and some were FPC. After the cashier ran through the first $10 worth the system locked her out to put more in. They have a new policy (at least at this store - Young St Halifax)) that more than $10 of coupons need an manager override.
The manager was very nice and deducted everything quickly but I caused a lineup waiting for her.
She let me use a B2G2 Ziploc coupon with the B1 ziploc get $3 off marinade one.

That's happened to me at the RCSS in Scarborough, ON as well. And people aren't overly too impressed because they have to wait for a manager to override....but when does anyone on here go shopping and use less than $10 per transaction??

Do separate transactions..... it makes life easier. I break up the products I can and group together the multi buy deals so I can get maximum coupon value. But keep it under $10 off in each Transaction,

All Loblaws company operates the same way. I usually try to break it down to seperate bills, unless for some promotion you need to combine to one bill. It is a bit annoy sometimes

I had that happen to me too. I had a pampers $10 off coupon and a couple others. i thought it was just my $10 coupon that did it since it was high value, guess it was just the combination of them all... good to know.

That's a great idea to separate the order. I've been locking up their system for sometime now.

That happened to me last week. I think the limit at our register (in Vernon) is $25. It was no biggie, though, it took the manager just a half second to override it. Nicest part was that the manager is one of the younger fellows that has often rang up my groceries. Knowing he's a manager and capable of doing overrides (in ADDITION to being a young man?), I am SO looking for him every time I go shopping now. :p
