Lever soap bars $.49 with coupon

I saw Lever soap bars (4x89g) on sale at SDM for $1.49 this week. So if you have a $1 coupon, it's the last chance to use it since this coupon expires April 30, 2010. I don't see this deal on the flyer, so it could be a store sale? Anyway, if you happen to be in the store and have the coupon, go check it out

I tried to use that coupon but was refused because the coupon states valid on 4x90g. they don't even have the 90g..all of them are 89g. The picture at the front shows 89g though..no luck for me...

I tell ya, I'm almost getting used to the endless bits of absurdity that we run into. You're right, the package labels say 4X89gm. My cashier at my SDM didn't have a problem with the fact that the coupon said 4X90gm and the package said 4X89gm. She had a problem with the fact that I was only going to pay 49 cents for it! She blustered and said "You should pay regular price then!".

I said "No, I want to get the sale price and I want to use these coupons!". She looked like steam was going to start shooting out her ears but rung the order through without another word.

I suppose she thought she was defending her store against some cunning fraud artist or something. I'll leave it at that but I had at least two other equally loony experiences at other stores (London Drugs & Nesters Market) in the last few weeks. I have written letters of complaint and will be following up.

hey my shoppers was sold out it ws the last day and i was dead tired to being trying all over town.. although i had 10 coupons too bad they hit the recycle bin!
