Thread: SDM Coupon Policy
-
Mon, May 16th, 2011, 04:03 PM #1
I was cleaning my desk and found my SDM cash training guide on the page discussing coupons it states:
''Note: Customers are allowed to redeem one vendor coupon and one store coupon per product, where the coupon states"limit one coupon per purchase", or "not to be combined with any other offer", etc. If there are multiple vendor or store coupons where no limit is stated for the same products, the cash register will only allow one vendor and one store coupon within the transaction. The remainder of the No Limit coupons will have to be awarded by completing a separate transaction; "coupon outside of sale", which is a supervisor function."This thread is currently associated with: Pharmaprix, Shoppers Drug Mart

I find it interesting that it states "one vendor coupon and one store coupon per product" SDM doesn't often have store specific coupons, but not long ago there was a $1.50 off Scott paper towel coupon. According to above, if I had had a $2 vendor coupon, I should have been able to essentially "stack" them, recieving a total of $3.50 per product.
This would apply to bonus points coupons as well I suppose, but I have never had a problem redeeming a points coupon, with a $ off coupon.

I've noticed some of the BP coupons...you can only use 1 per transaction...I bought 2x Smashbox trios & used 3600 bp coupon from Glow mag but had to split them in my 2x bonus redemptions to get the bp as the coupon would only scan one time!

Shoppers would not allow me to use a coupon on a product with a reduced item sticker. I was told the reduced sticker is considered a coupon. Dealing with shoppers drug mart is like going back in time. Without the pharmacy, this chain would fall apart.

I just tried to use a $5 coupon for 3 Gillette products and was refused. The three items were Gillette body wash that was reduced to $2.50 each. The supervisor said I could use it as a $2.50 coupon which really made me upset. That made no sense at all as they would certainly get $5 back for the coupon. I left everything and walked out. They just lost me as a customer over one valid coupon.
