He was giving it away because he didn't have the room for it now, or something.
DH and I were joking about giving it walks, like a dog. I mean, it needs exercise, right?
And what would you do if you were just going about your business, say shopping, and then look out and there's a llama on a leash? Hehe.

I think it'd be a bit like a horse..
I mean, roughly same size as a smaller horse, and they eat the same, right? (Not sure, obviously only ever owned a horse, lol.)
