FREE items I got for others :)

I have a neighbour who thinks I am nuts for using coupons and she keeps saying your not saving I don't know why you use them
For the past month she will want to argue with me about it so I finally took her out for things SHE wanted ...I think her attitude has changed some BUT NOT LOTS EVEN AFTER WHAT WE DID

Took her to LD this is what we got her

3 x Herbal Shampoo PM with WM for 2.49 X 3 = 7.47 - 6.75 coupons = .72
3 x Fantastic PM for 2.99 x 3 = 8.97 - 6 x 1.00 and BOGO = FREE
1 x Bleach 1.99 - 2 x 1.00 FREE
1 x Dawn Soap 1.99 - 2 x 1.00 coupons FREE
3 x Scrubbing Bubbles 4.29 x 3 =14.97 - used 3 x 5.00 coupons FREE
1 x Multibionta Vitamins 19.99 - 2 x 10.00 coupons FREE

We get to the cashier and all my neighbour keep syaing was well I still have to pay the taxes and I really came here for Charmin Toilet Paper

I was speechless and didn't know how to react to her ......I was so hurt BUT so excited I had gotten her all these items for free and I felt good about it.

The cashier saw I had 5.00 coupons for Tide and she said oh wow those are good coupons. I told her I just put 5 on the shelf by the tide for people to use and she said oh I hope they are still there after my shift I want some, so I handed her 4 coupons for her, she was in shock


So I got home and gave her a package of Charmin I had in my stash to stop her from complaining about her Charmin she didn't get. We did try to PM but LD didn't have the size in the flyer.

SO, I got home had a coffee and took out my Gillettee 5.00 coupons and headed over to RCSS and got 12 bottles of Satin Care $3.16 each with pink stickers 50% off = 1.58 each and them for FREE
12 x 3.16 = 37.92 - 50% = 18.36 - 20.00 in coupons = FREE

These 12 bottles of Satin Care are being given to one of our SC on here to go towards her baskets she makes up for the women shelters

So my day was giving and it felt good even though one person was not happy with her free items

PS. I got my self Ensure for FREE almost forgot so I did get something for me !!!!

Good for you... too bad your neighbour doesn't appreciate it. Maybe she is the type that doesn't show her appreciation and she is secretly bragging to her friends about you and how much you save!!

Wow...I can't believe she wasn't jumping up and down at the register...paying less than a buck for all that stuff?? You rock!! Now if I could just get my hands on some really good coupons, that'd be awesome!

Good for you!! I am new to this but I'll tell you on my first transaction which is Listerine last week at RCSS and I saved $3.... I was bragging about it at work and at home.... for days!!!! Saving is very exciting!!

I can't believe your neighbour acted that way. Ugh. Good for you for giving to the SC'r that makes gift baskets - that's VERY cool. I'm new and once I really get good, I'd love to be able to donate to our local food bank & women's shelter.
