The province is launching a high-occupancy toll lanes pilot project on the QEW in Burlington and Oakville Thursday. The current high-occupancy vehicle lanes between Guelph Line and Trafalgar Road will be converted to HOT lanes allowing single occupant vehicles with permits to use them.

Mayor John Tory will present the key to the city to two of the most successful Toronto musicians in history. Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson, founding members of the band Rush, will receive the honour during a special ceremony on Saturday. The duo will also have a park in Willowdale named after them at the event honouring their achievements over 40 years in the music industry.
