Hurricane Harvey's impact means gas prices are on the rise

This is hard to swallow, especially as the long weekend has arrived. The price of gas is set to shoot up in a big way. The average price of regular is about $1.23 a litre across the GTA this morning but don’t expect even that price to last. GasBuddy.com’s Dan McTeague is calling for another 9 -cent jump in the price at the pump at midnight - taking us north of a $1.30 a litre by tomorrow morning. This is all thanks to the impact tropical storm Harvey is having on oil refineries state side. Like we don't have any oil here at all.

Distracted drivers primary cause of road collisions: OPP

Along with higher gas prices, the long weekend also means a higher police presence on the roads. The OPP will be out in full force, zeroing in on distracted driving. OPP continues to remind motorists that distracted driving is behind more deaths and injuries on 400-series highways than speed or alcohol combined. The OPP says there have been 6,360 collisions on roads it patrols since Jan. 1 compared with 4,700 collisions due to speeding and 1,158 crashes due to a driver drinking alcohol or taking drugs. Please people, take care out there. Stay safe & arrive alive, there & back.

Yay! Its Friday before the long weekend.
Boo! Its not 5:00 yet.

Last night my son and I played another jam session. This time we did Man In The Box by Alice in Chains.

I'm going to attempt to put a YouTube video but it never seems to work for me so if you click in the link below, you can watch our performance. Keep in mind, we are not professionals and normally you would not get me up on a stage (this is my 5th time performing in front of an audience), but I just do it to jam with my son.

Careful readers will notice that there is a glaring loophole written right into the rule – the words “any device or shape…that is not integrated into the body streamlining.” Ducati simply decided to create an aerodynamic device that is integrated into the body streamlining (albeit, just barely), the result of which is this radical new design
