Negotiations break down as college strike enters 4th week

The strike will go on… at least for now. The Ontario Public Service Employees Union, which represents about 12-thousand striking college workers, says it has no plans to suspend the nearly month-long labour disruption. This comes after the College Employer Council asked striking faculty members to resume classes ahead of a vote on a final contract offer. The strike began October 15th and has left 500,000 full-time and part time students out of class.

Murray Koffler, founder of Shoppers Drug Mart, dead at 93

Murray Koffler, the founder of Shoppers Drug Mart, has died at the age of 93, according to Loblaw Companies Ltd. Toronto-born Koffler was a pharmacist when he founded Shoppers in 1962. The chain was taken over in 1978 by Imasco Ltd. and later acquired by Loblaw in 2014 for $12.4 billion.

I've said this before but I really don't like "Willy on Q". Again, I've been really appreciating my Sirius XM on my way home after 6:00pm and if I'm home I tune in to Y108. I know that they're based in Vancouver and made to sound like they're in the area, but I really don't like the show.... :(

I actually like Willy on Q. It took a while for me to warm up to them, but they do have some features that none of the other DJs have, like isolated vocal tracks, and mash up of songs.
