Nothing new under the sun you say?
Try walking with your eyes open.
It seems super-massive black holes at the center
of galaxies are very common occurrences, maybe necessary
key components of each galaxy.
The larger the galaxy , the larger the super-massive.
Some are 10 or 20 million times the size of
our sun. Impossible therefore to be made from
stars that have gone nova. Super novas? or Black Holes devouring
stars. Super novas are short in duration.
The new , soon to be launched, James Webb space telescope is
tuned to look further back into the initial formation of the universe.

Grav wave measurements take out the optics and their numerous problems.
Gravitation waves compress and expand space the way sound waves compress and expand air.
Signal 1.3 billion years old detected. Two black holes merging.
Proving the existence of black holes which cannot be seen but can be heard.
