Brace yourself for another good dose of heat. A heat warning is in effect as were expected to reach a humidex value of 39 degrees by the afternoon. The mercury is set to top 31 degrees, well above the average high of 27 degrees for this time of year.
The good news is showers and thunderstorms later in the day should bring in some cooler air for the remainder of the work week.
