Julianna Kozis, 10, identified as second victim killed in Danforth shooting
We’re now learning more about the second person to be killed in the Danforth shooting. Julianna Kozis has been identified by Toronto police as the second victim killed in Sunday’s shooting in Greek town.
Kozis, who was just 10-years-old, was visiting the area with her dad from Markham. According to police, the two were having dessert at a cafe when they both were shot. Markham Mayor Frank Scarpitti released a statement Monday evening expressing condolences to Kozis’ family. He said the City of Markham will lower its flags in honour of Kozis. 18-year-old Reese Fallon was also killed in the attack.
Residents of Toronto’s Greek town will unite for another vigil tonight to mourn the two people who were killed and 13 others left wounded in Sunday’s shooting. Mayor John Tory will join residents at 7pm at a local church before they walk together along Danforth Avenue.
