we had no such weather at all last night. i was told acton had some thunder & lightning first thing yesterday morning, along with driving rain, then cleared up by 9am & that was all she wrote.

Yea for Fridays! I’m always in a better mood after the Leafs win. This would explain why my wife calls me her grumpy old man. Shoulder feels a little better, but since the pain died in the shoulder I have found out how sore the arm is. Must have stretched or tore a tendon. May do light work on the boat but tomorrow night is Van Halen and looking forward to it. Is anyone else heading down? We are right at the back in section 102. Good luck to everyone for the trip.

In 1985, I became I first time Momma. My mother brought me the most beautiful earrings & necklace that she had picked out just for me. I wear them on special occasions & St. Patrick's Day is one of them. Alzheimer's Disease stole her away from us, but it can never take away her warm presence... it's just that I miss her. xx

I'm wearing my shamrock earrings & a shamrock necklace too,
You gave them to me years ago Mom & I’m wearing them for you,
My exquisite Irish Mother how I can hear your voice so clearly,
Your words of wisdom have rang so true & I cherish them so dearly,
It’s been so many years since we’ve sat down & enjoyed a cup of tea,
Your touch of magic in all you did, will forever be with me,
I’m sorry Mom for making you worry when I’d arrive home so late,

I have been extremely busy (and BEAT!) this first week. I have missed you guys. I booked some time in my calendar for basic "housekeeping" so thought I'd take this as an opportunity to pop in and say Hi.

I'll try to catch-up this weekend.

I have a couple of new mobile toys to test out too .... if anyone regularly uses this site from a smartphone, I'd appreciate any tips or how-to's. I'd like to use my train (commute) time in the most productive fashion - and that means SmartCanucking!
