Last race just getting started. Congratz to Dario Franchetti for his 3rd Indy 500 win!!!

It was a Good Race!!!!

Like last Year, a Driver "Making a Move"... Miscalculated... and was Taken-Out just before the Checkered Thing-on-a-Stick.
Takuma Sato was almost the 1st Japanese Driver to Win the Indy 500.
Causing an Interesting Debate, though...
Did Dario "Crowd" Takuma?
Everyone who hit that White Line Wiped-Out, though.

The 1st Time that I went to the 500 was in 1999.
I still Remember the Stealth Bomber doing a Fly-By at the Start of the Race that Year.
My Buddies and I had Seats at the 4th Turn and were Amazed at how Silent it was!!!!
The Shadow of the Stealth-B "Raced" Dead-Centre of the Straight-Away(!!!).
We were soooo Impressed that we did not notice the F-16's until they Burst Away right above us.
"BOOM!!"... and they were gone.

Since Well before then, the Tradition was (is) Jim Nabors singing Back Home in Indiana.

Those were the Best 5x Day Drunks that I had Ever Experienced!!!!
As my Buddy said, "The Race just Tells me when the Party's over".

I Love the Indy 500 because it is a Nostalgia-Trip for me.

HAPPY PSUNDAY!
well today wasn't so bad. it was bright & sunny early this morning, then it started to cloud over, then the clouds broke apart. was able to get the laundry done & hung out to dry this morning. finished up my fundraising for the food bank this afternoon, then got home in time to watch the Coca Cola 600, where Kasey Kahne won the race. His 1st as a driver for Hendrick Motor Sports. Yes rockie, that was quite the move the Tony did to correct his car on pit road after Brad spun him while leaving his pit.
congrats to Dario for winning the Indy 500 & to Ryder Hesjedal, the Canadian cyclist that won the Tour of Italy.
hope everyone enjoyed their weekend. back to work tomorrow.
