Good Morning!!! What a beautiful summer morning on the lake!! Not a ripple in the water - perfect for water skiing!!!
My niece and her husband and two little ones are on their way up to visit. I can't wait to see them! My niece was an AMAZING waterskiier in her teens and early 20's doing all sorts of tricks and barefoot stuff.... I told her that she needs to show us how it's done!!
Hope everyone enjoys their day!!!

TORONTO - A west end grandmother is devastated after her border collie, Lucy, was mauled to death by a pitbull in front of her 12-year-old granddaughter.
Noemi Stefenatti was walking through Douglas Ford Park around 1:30 p.m. Thursday on her way back to her home on Leggett Ave., near Royal York Rd. and Lawrence Ave. W., with her granddaughter Serena when the raging dog suddenly attacked.
“He came over the bridge like a bullet,” the senior said of the pitbull.
Little Serena was holding Lucy’s leash when the pitbull grabbed the border collie by the neck with its teeth, a grief-stricken Stefenatti recalled.
“We were both screaming and screaming,” she said, fighting back tears. “As much as we were shocked, Lucy was even more shocked.”
“She didn’t fight back at all, the poor animal,” Stefenatti added.
Fearful the dog may turn on Serena, she yelled at her granddaughter to “run away.”
Once Serena was safe, Stefenatti grabbed Lucy’s leash and tried to pull her free from the clenches of the pitbull. But she couldn’t save the eight-year-old dog she had owned since she was a puppy.
She said the bloody attack lasted more than 10 minutes.
“When Lucy was dead, the other dog walked away,” Stefenatti said. “He sat in the shade for a bit, then he ran away.”
By the time Toronto Police arrived the killer dog was nowhere to be found.
“Officers searched the area but weren’t able to locate the pitbull,” Const. Wendy Drummond said, explaining the search was called off as night fell.
Stefenatti said the pitbull is dark brown with lighter-coloured hair around its collar area. It is a medium-sized dog with a stocky build and it was wearing a thick burgundy collar.
“I really hope they find that dog before it attacks again,” she said, adding a child could be the next victim.
Stefenatti said her granddaughter is traumatized by the “terrible experience.”
“I told Serena there was nothing we could do and it wasn’t our fault,” she said.
Although the breed was banned in Ontario in 2005, those who already owned a pitbull were allowed to keep their dog. But owners of the “grandfathered” pitbulls were ordered to have their pet sterilized as well as leashed and muzzled at all times in public.
Police are urging the owner of the offending dog to come forward.

This is such a sad story. That poor border collie and her owners. Just out taking her for a walk and she gets killed for no reason. That pit bull's owner is responsible and must have known what the dog was like (he probably made it like that). That 12-year-old is traumatized for sure....poor thing....

I'm sorry for printing that story if it made anyone feel as bad as it's made me feel..........
yes, H team I'm sure Ric was great, I thought he was going to do mostly acoustic guitar, I used to love Triumph and have seen them a few times...
The Rock and Blues coming up will be great - I've seen Johnny Winter, Edgar and Ric Derringer and Kim Simmonds. Kim Simmonds is from my old faves SAVOY BROWN, I still listen to them - I've got about 8 of their CDS!
Better Run.............

Greetings dear people........poetry-writer's block so you are getting a copy & paste of a saturday poem. I am feeling better today. It looks nice out there. I hope to get outside at some point today. Where ever you may be, make the most of your saturday & enjoy. Miss you guys! xx
Do you know there are many songs all about Saturday?
Lonely ballads, songs of romance & some doo wop along the way,
One More Saturday Night, is a tune by The Grateful Dead,
The Carpenters sang a song called Saturday, but it wasn’t a hit widespread,
One of Chicago’s biggest hits was Saturday in the Park,
& Elton John said Saturday Night’s Alright for Fighting probably after dark,
Cat Stevens once had nobody on Another Saturday Night,
& King Crimson had a Book of Saturday, another tune about plight,
David Bowie’s Drive-In Saturday was on the album Aladdin Sane,
& Same Old Saturday Night by’ ole blue eyes’ goes well with champagne,
Louisiana Saturday Night by Alabama is schmaltzy & kinda twangy,
& Saturday Night by the Bay City Rollers may be bound to drive you rangy,
Someday I’ll Be Saturday Night contains wailing by Jon Bon Jovi,
& Almost Saturday Night by John Fogerty, is sung in the key of D,
On Saturday Afternoons in 1963 is by the lovely Rickie Lee Jones,
& Tom Wait’s Heart of Saturday Night sure has melodic tones,
I’m sure there are many Saturday songs that I’ve omitted from my prose,
So at this time, I shall conclude & bring these queries to a close.
