Good morning!!!

I borrowed a roaster to fit my 32 pound turkey but I never checked to see if it would fit in my oven..... I had to remove the rack from my oven to get the pan to fit :shock:

I sure hope this bird turns out ok.....

I hope everyone has a wonderful, safe Thanksgiving!!!

Back from Chicago - an amazing city :) Weather was fantastic - saw the Cubs game at Wrigley, went to Second City Show, enjoyed cheezborger at the original Billy Goat Tavern, saw pre-broadway show - Kinky Boots, did the architectural water boat tour, art institute, Rookery,House of Blues, Howl at the Moon, Towers and walked a million miles. Thank you again for your input and suggestions. No more holidays until the snow falls :)
Celebrated our family Thanksgiving last night at our nieces..... lazy lie in for our clan today...then off visitng.... will eventually finish unpacking from holidays..... as weather permits - a game of golf tomorrow.
Nice to see the temps dropping.......

Make that 14 people my dear, cause that sure looks mighty fine,
Loocie would like to join you all & sit at your table to dine,
I'll offer up a "punkin pie" & even bring a tub of ice cream,
As sharing a bountiful dinner, is just part of the Thanksgiving scene,
The menfolk can wash all the dishes, while all the girls can sit back & gab,
Then they can serve us dessert, it's going to be simply fab!
Everyone should remember the things the truly make life count,
Cause when it comes to people you adore & love, there is simply no discount,
Maybe we could have an after dinner brandy or some other delightful liqueur,
& just thank our lucky stars for what we have & toast as we all concur.

Happy Thanksgiving

HAPPY TURKEY DAY, Q STERS!
was busy yesterday getting the chlorine for the pool, grocery shopping & getting the sweet potatoes done for today's turkey dinner. had a great time last night with Andit at the SA. saw Karl there & was saddened by the dimise of Bender, the 12 week old kitty. apparently Karl came home from work & when to let the dogs out, but they would go out. they were barking at him to come to where they were. when he entered the room, poor little Bender had bee playing with the computer mouse & somehow got tangled up in the wire & fell from the table & hung himself. poor baby. :( unfortunately there was no one else home when it happened. not a fun homecoming for Karl either.
on a happier note hope everyone has a great TURKEY DAY! it's a good thing that jeans have lycra in them. :)
