Thanks to everyone for their kind words. I was able to cancel my vacation for next week, however it may not be able to be rescheduled when she finally arrives. No matter, as long as we are together.

I am so sorry for your loss. I sort of know how you feel. I lost my oldest brother in 1997 to an accidental drug overdose. It was a shock to all of us, though not a complete surprise. It took me a long time to come to terms with his death. A sibling's death has an impact on us beyond that of a parent.

Peace to you in this time of grief and sorrow.

I also lost a bro a couple of years older than me back in 1994, I also know how it feels and the shock!!!!

evening Q sters,
what a great day today. could have had a bit more sun. it was cloudy, but warm. water temp in the pool is 84 degrees, just right. got the laundry done & hung the clothes out to dry, grass cut & was able to do some reading. there was a few sprinkles about 6pm that lasted about 3 minutes & if that's it for the rain, i'm good.

Well everyone....bad news. Air Canada has cancelled the connecting flight from Argentina to Chile!! We are not sure yet when things can be rescheduled...hopefully there will be a flight tomorrow.

Latest update: There are no seats available on Air Canada from Argentina until next Sunday!! I hope I can change my vacation from work tomorrow!!

so sorry about your girlfriend not being able to come till next week. mother nature can be so cruel at times. glad that you were able to go back to work this week & i hope you can have next week off to spend time with her.

Years ago I want to see a hockey game and the boss would not give me the time off so I just quit. I sure showed him and did get to see the the Junior C game.

MURDER AT WOOLWORTHS

Tired of constantly
being broke & stuck in an unhappy marriage, a young husband decided to solve both problems by taking out a large insurance policy on his wife with himself as the beneficiary, and then arranging to have her killed.

A 'friend of a friend'
put him in touch with a nefarious dark-side underworld figure who went by the name of 'Artie.' Artie explained to the husband that his going price for snuffing out a spouse was $5,000.



The
husband said he was willing to pay that amount, but that he wouldn't have any cash on hand until he could collect his wife's insurance money. Artie insisted on being paid at least something up front, so the man opened his wallet, displaying the single dollar bill that rested inside.
Artie sighed, rolled his eyes, & reluctantly agreed to accept the dollar as down payment for the dirty deed.



A few
days later, Artie followed the man's wife to the local Woolworths Supermarket store. There, he surprised her in the produce department & proceeded to strangle her with his gloved hands. As the poor unsuspecting woman drew her last breath & slumped to the floor, the manager of the produce department stumbled unexpectedly onto the murder scene. Unwilling to leave any living witnesses behind, ol' Artie had no choice but to strangle the produce manager as well.



However,
unknown to Artie, the entire proceedings were captured by the hidden security cameras & observed by the store's security guard, who immediately called the police. Artie was caught and arrested before he could even leave
the store.

Under intense
questioning at the police station, Artie revealed the whole sordid plan, including his unusual financial arrangements with the hapless husband who was also quickly arrested.

The next day in the
newspaper, the headline declared...

going to hate me for this...)
