I hope everyone is hungry as lunch is ready to be served,
I see some window seats that are marked reserved,
Lasagna is scrumptiously ready & the garlic bread is guaranteed delicious,
A spinach salad with a glass of wine, could be promisingly auspicious,
My favourite red is Brolio, but it has become ever so pricey,
But today is the perfect day to dine at a window seat & watch the trees get icy,
Maybe one of you talented people could even give us a little serenade,
O'Sole-mio would brighten us up as warmer thoughts are conveyed,
A garlic enhanced gathering with friends is always heavenly beguiling,
& as we eat & raise our glasses, you know that we'll be smiling,
No complaining & no swearing, but dancing is certainly allowed,
& file another Smart Canuckle lunch that would do our Mommas proud.

I don’t even need to tell you how fast those milestones become a simple feat,
Maybe you’ll be a guest at her tea party with a valued front row seat,
The pretty hair & all the clothes that endear her even further in your heart,
& it is a proven fact that all granddaughters are clever & of course they're very smart,
So welcome to the world little lady; it is a vast & curious place,
But for now, just be a baby girl with baby thoughts, pretty bows & lace.

yes, we have sunshine in the hammer & it's melting all this white stuff. a bit dicey on my road this morning with the freezing rain, but the sander was coming down to sand the road, so it wasn't too bad the 2nd half. once south of 7, it was rain & once over the skyway, it is sun.
