Good afternoon. What a weekend, hope we have a lot more ofthat kind weather. Got boating Saturday and a lot of tree trimming yesterday? Recyclingnot like my 30 bundles of branches and still a week before pick up, could be a few more by then. But we get a nice breeze again. Setback for dad, he was feeling good on Friday afternoon was walking without a walker and went to sit in his favorite chair in the kitchen and the chair broke and he crashed to the ground. The wife and I were in the backyard power washing the patio and only when we looked over did we see him on the ground. His shoulder an arm took the brunt. And he seemed ok but how do we get him up. He’s is not allowed to use his arms and we can’t grab him around his waist, ribs or arms. We almost called the ambulance but the solution came and it was, sit up, carpet runner under the butt with a lot ofrocking back and forth. So lift on to a small stool, then a larger stool, then a backless chair and then up to his feet. He watched him carefully but he seemed fine. Sunday morning he got out of bed around six to go to the can and fell again, but this time he fell back intobed, but on his chest, the only damaged seemed to be a cut from the dimmerswitch. And of course nobody was around again and he did not call on the walkie talkies. So now he is not walking enough. But spent all yesterday afternoon outside with us by the pool and was in good spirits. Now my mother is sick and I think it’s her nerves. Today the wife tried to get him walking and he was not sure and was sore and was not sure how he was feeling. So she said enough get ready were going to emergency and get youchecked out. And that is where they are now.

So sorry hear what your folks are going through - it's almost like babysitting duty again. Dad will take a while to become confident again in his balance. Hopefully your Mom will be able to get something to soothe her nerves and all can return to some semblance of normalcy again.
