One of my favs! ROCK ON!!! BLUE RODEO. Saw them when I was in my 20s at Kee D Bala. they were late cause Jim Cuddy's wife was having a baby. Awesome show. Would love to see them again

Hey all, just left the H.S. - was able to get Bronson, Brody and Sychler out for some time on the patio and visited with a few others and fed a few kittens. Leaving with a sad heart though - they need to find homes with a lot of love oh how I wish they all would - and the dogs too - poor things. There were 206 cats adopted out in July which is a great thing but that includes a lot of kittens.......
Bronson - one year old - why would someone give him up?????????First of all they probably don't have much of a heart...........and whatever other excuses they may give......I'd say none are good enough considering what the poor animal has to go through.....

My five year anniversary of being a so called Smart Canuckette,
Sometimes I wonder what I am doing but I haven’t figured that out yet,
I chatter, I natter & I sometimes post pics,
I prattle, seen battle & talked about flicks,
Sometimes I say just what’s on my mind,
Even wrote prose about things that are lined,
Upon reflecting about things I’ve learned here,
It is a place where so many have come to endear,
We’ve had our differences & an occasional kerfuffle,
& times when we should have opted to muffle,
We’ve had many join us & blend nicely into our little fold,
We’ve have folks who were banned for being too bold,
We’ve had loss; we’ve had triumphs & some very lucky winners,
We’ve given tips & welcomed many Smart Canuck beginners,
Some of our regular greats that we kinda miss dearly,
& that is a statement that I make most sincerely,
Your resident poet sometimes thinks about retiring,
But I keep coming back, cause you’re all so inspiring,
I certainly didn’t intend to post daily at such a feverish pitch,
& being a Smart Canuck has certainly not made me rich,
Thanks to you all for always knowing the right things to say,
As sometimes we all need a boost to brighten our day,
Although our “Q” thread may see some changes,
We all still come here for our pleasant exchanges.
I think I have likely said so much more than enough,
Now off you all go to strut all your delightful stuff.

A 5 year anniversary - no small achievement. Your poetry and prose continues to amuse and impress us. I'm amongst the many who consider you the matriarch of our thread and grateful for all your wisdom and wit in rhyme. Hope you never change Loocie - we love you.

Happy 5th Anniversary my beautiful Silly Loocie. I feel like you're my sister that I never had. Raised with all guys. Male chauvanists too boot. Sorry about my luck. I will rebel against it forever. No woman should ever be treated like that. Love your man as long as he treats you with respect. Anyway Hope I'm still around in 5 years. My prayers are with you sister. Hope to meet you one day. I'd love to meet the whole gang. That would be so inspirational. Maybe one day? Peace and Love!!!!!!!

I forgot to mention when Jim Cuddy is in town he buys cheese and bread right down the road from me at Leslieville cheese shop. I haven't seen him but my friends have. One day maybe I'll meet him.
